Fernando Cuevas
Is founding partner of CUEVASLUGO ABOGADOS and graduated with a law degree from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in 1998 and received a Masters of Law (LL.M.) with a concentration in Corporate, Financial and Business Law from Northwestern University in Chicago in 2002. Fernando Cuevas has experience in Corporate Law, Financial Law, Foreign Investment, Real Estate transactions, Project Finance, Energy Law, Mergers and Acquisitions. He also has been involved in several civil and commercial litigations.
Before founding CUEVASLUGO ABOGADOS, he formed part of the firm Thacher Proffitt & Wood, S.C., and from 2002 through 2003 he worked as foreign associate for the law firm Sidley Austin Brown & Wood, LLP in New York.
Within his activities at CUEVASLUGO ABOGADOS, he participates in the corporate, financial, real estate and energy areas counseling national and foreign companies.
Fernando Cuevas co-authored the article “International Execution Against Judgment Debtors”, published in April, 2005 by Oceana Publications, Inc., Dobbs Ferry, NY., and is member of the American Bar Association.
